Seems a reasonable assumption and in line with mine. There are always a few suprises tucked away though!

How many of the ones that failed, would have been worked on and later passed? Does it take that into account? For instance, in 1992 4 cars failed and 4 passed. Does that mean that maybe only 4 1992 cars are on the road and all 4 failed but later passed or does this only take into account a first MOT test and not retests?
